updates out of my life

My latest acquisition has arrived, and I'm absolutely head over heels in love! Every Y2K kid probably knows who this beauty is, right?! Mattel had the brilliant idea to create a Barbie of her, and as soon as I saw the videos on TikTok, I just had to get one. Shortly after I received the shipping confirmation, she was already sold out again. Lucky me, I'd say!!!!

Biography

Born in 1990 in northern Germany, I grew up in a sheltered home with a stable family environment. My first encounter with the internet happened during my childhood, around the age of 8 or 9, at a time when Google didn't exist yet, and Yahoo was my go-to search engine. Back then, I wasn't sure what to do with the World Wide Web. However, by the time I turned 12, MSN became a major interest. I created my first "homepage" using Beepworld's website builder, which I believe still exists today. The site featured a ranking list of the most popular websites, which allowed me to connect with others who shared my passion for web design. We exchanged MSN email addresses, shared tips and tricks, and swapped the latest celebrity pictures. Meanwhile, we downloaded the newest "remixes" from various file-sharing programs in the lowest quality possible. Eventually, I moved from using a website builder to tools like Microsoft FrontPage and FTP Commander, and that's when my coding journey began. ThePreil, at the time, was my best friend, and I was amazed by the many possibilities that HTML, CSS, PHP, and IFrames offered. It took me years to get a good grasp on everything, and to this day, I still face challenges. As you can see, much of my earlier life was deeply rooted in the internet, web design, and coding. As the years passed, things became more complicated. Images started to come with licenses, limiting the choices I had for editing. Moreover, I needed to make money to pay for web hosting, which became difficult for me back then and led to a long period of being offline. At the age of 16, I made another attempt to get back into web design, but the community had shrunk so much that my passion didn't reignite, and I abandoned the idea once again. Time passed, and by a strange coincidence, I stumbled upon Blue-graphics.com. Through the CBox, I found like-minded individuals, and my enthusiasm was reignited. I found plenty of new inspiration and support, and it's amazing to see how much has changed in the last few decades.

A little glimpse into my comfort oasis.
After buying the house, I set up a room in the basement - just for me.
This is where I retreat to escape from the "everyday life." I collect all kinds of things from the '90s and 2000s.
It's not much, but I love it.
