DOS games refer to video games that were developed to run on MS-DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System), a command-line operating system that was widely used on IBM-compatible personal computers during the 1980s and 1990s. DOS games were among the first major forms of PC gaming and played a key role in the evolution of video games.
